My experiences with the paranormal were only minor for quite some time. As a child living in a condominium with my parents and little sister, I never experienced very much out of the ordinary as far as hauntings or any other form of paranormal activity. My experiences started off very simple - randomly hearing my name called out at the condo when I was the only person home was the start of it all. While this was very minor, it still sparked my interest into what exactly was going on around me. The events remained minor for some time after I began to hear the voice, but one night that all was turned on its ear when I was awoken in the middle of the night under peculiar circumstances.

Ever since I was little, I have always opted to sleep with the door to my bedroom shut. More a personal choice than anything, but it is how I have always been. I awoke one night around 3am instantly in a state of shock. My attention was immediately grasped by the fact that my doorway was wide open and the light in the bathroom which had previously been turned off was now turned on. Not sure what to expect, I kept my eyes locked on the doorway in hopes that it was merely my father stopping off in the restroom late at night. This was not what I ended up seeing. Out of nowhere, my tension heightened as a slim black shadowy figure darted down the hallway at a frightening speed. Petrified with fear in my bed, I couldn't do anything but stare at the doorway in hopes of figuring out just what it was that was terrorizing me so. I never did figure out what that shape was, and eventually my state of terror tired me to the point in which I found sleep. From there on until this day, however; I have never given up my search to find out just what it is that goes bump in the night.

Maturing with age, my searches have broadened into other fields of paranormal research. From channeling to communication with the dead, I have found much interest in some of the stranger areas of paranormal interactivity. My resolve towards finding out more about my experiences and the experiences of others were redoubled at the very instant I stumbled upon reports of actual interactions from figures such as Jane Roberts and other mediums of our time.
To this day I strive to find out as much as I can, and as a member of POI, I fully intend on doing just that.
