Crystal "Cynder" Born

From an early age, I have always had a keen interest in the paranormal. At the age of ten, I experienced minor unexplainable phenomena at my home which had been supposedly haunted for quite some time. From minor happenings such as well-hanged pictures falling from their wall mounts to dishes being launched from the strainer during dinner time – I knew there was more than what the eyes could see amidst the living. This belief was confirmed even moreso as the experiences proceeded from the quizzical to the terrifying. An unfamiliar voice calling me down the hallway by name and an ominous presence keeping me up at night were more than enough evidence necessary for me to wish for a greater understanding of just what was on the other side that could cling to the formal state of being.

As I moved from location to location throughout the following years, I was frequently revisited by “familiar” apparitions. One of which is suspected to be that of my beloved grandfather, whose home I currently reside within. Years after his passing, his presence still lingers about the premises. While most cases would find this to be a haunting – this particular case borders on the comforting, and provides me with hope that there might just be something fulfilling in the unexplained. Residing in Jacksonville, Florida I wish to expand my experience outward to the farthest reaches of the world in search of what might be an answer to the age old question of “Is there life after death?”
