In the mountains of Estes Park resides one of the most famous historical hotels in the United States. The Stanley hotel, built in 1907, is known by many as the establishment that inspired horror novelist, Steven King, to write the cult classic The Shining. But is there more to this hotel than words in a book? We decided to visit the hotel and see what secrets she would share with us.
Old wooden floors elegantly covered with thin carpeting, the hotel retains the timeless feel of an old home. The staff was very welcoming as well as the guests. Tours frequent the halls going over both regular and haunted histories of the land. From housekeepers to guests, there is not a story that will not entertain and have you looking for the storyteller’s truths.
We were quickly greeted with other guests of the hotel’s past. From disembodied voices to doors opening and closing, we knew we were in for a treat. Keep a look out on the Evidence page to see what we have recovered from our venture.
